Exit poll Development
Need to develop two questions:
One question demographic question – That determine the economic status
One question that can measure the political attitude
Perhaps topics that can be considered are:
Straight party voting
The size of national government
Performance of the Executive
liberty v safety
local issues regarding the quality of life.
One other suggestion: one way to shape questions is to look at how other
pollsters have asked them. A great source is this website:
www.pollingreport.com.
There are a couple of benefits to this. First, you see how others have
shaped the language of their poll questions. Second, if you use
identical language to a question asked in a national poll, it allows you
to compare El Paso to the rest of the country.
